Founder & Creative Director | Emeritus AIA
He/him
With a global perspective shaped by his upbringing in Hong Kong and the UK, CK has cultivated a life of exploration, artistry, and deep cultural appreciation. Educated in Seattle and Rome, he is proficient in five languages and has visited 74 countries, drawing inspiration from every corner of the world. He’s not a tourist anywhere — he’s culturally fluent everywhere.
Wine and culinary arts are central to CK’s creative life. Certified (Level 3) by the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) in London and currently working toward the diploma, CK brings sommelier-level expertise to California wine country curation — specializing in Napa, Sonoma, Paso Robles, and Monterey’s finest producers, hidden-gem wineries, and exclusive tasting experiences. Since 2024, he has also volunteered as a chef-instructor with 18 Reasons, a San Francisco nonprofit in the Mission District, teaching healthy cooking and food literacy — a reflection of his belief that nourishing experiences uplift both body and community. After 30 years as a registered architect — holding principal and leadership roles at renowned firms including Meta, Amazon, MG2, and Mithun — CK earned Emeritus AIA status from The American Institute of Architects, a designation typically reserved for architects retiring at 70. Now founder of a design studio for wine and travel curation, his architectural training informs every wine country journey: the same meticulous research, conceptual iteration, and obsessive attention to detail that earned him national acclaim (including an AIA National Young Architects Award nomination) now ensures that every California wine escape is seamlessly orchestrated and deeply personal — applying an architect’s studio rigor to experience design.
As CKcurated’s founder and creative director, CK brings an atelier approach to wine and travel curation — listening, anticipating needs, and understanding what you haven’t quite articulated. Whether designing a multi-day wine immersion across California’s top regions, orchestrating an exclusive culinary experience, or planning a bespoke international journey, CK ensures that every detail reflects your story — seamless, inspiring, and unforgettable. At CKcurated, we approach wine and travel curation like a design studio — seamlessly blending wine expertise, culinary artistry, and travel design to craft deeply personal experiences that inspire and connect. We believe that life’s most extraordinary moments — discovering a hidden-gem winery in Paso Robles, savoring an unforgettable meal paired with exceptional wines, exploring a new destination through its culinary culture — should be intentionally designed, like an architect drawing construction documents, to evoke wonder and joy.
From bespoke California wine country journeys and multi-day wine immersions to exclusive culinary encounters and tailored international travel, CKcurated transforms everyday moments into something truly special. With meticulous attention to detail, we create experiences that honor your identity, deepen your connections, and reflect the values of a LGBTQ-owned business committed to living well, giving back, and supporting community initiatives.

Our impact extends beyond wine and travel: CKcurated proudly partners with local nonprofits, DEI-focused organizations, and business networks like GGBA, helping clients and companies weave purpose-driven experiences into their journeys. Whether through volunteering, culinary education, or community engagement, we believe extraordinary experiences are amplified when they contribute to meaningful change. Corporate wine experiences can integrate giving-back components — from vineyard sustainability initiatives to supporting local food security programs.

Let us craft your next extraordinary experience. Whether you seek an immersive California wine country journey, a corporate wine escape, or bespoke international travel, your journey begins here.

CKcurated is led by CK, who holds WSET Level 3 certification from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust in London and is currently pursuing the diploma. With sommelier-level knowledge, CK curates exceptional wine experiences across Napa, Sonoma, Paso Robles, and Monterey — connecting clients with top producers, hidden-gem wineries, and exclusive tasting opportunities. We’re never commission-driven, so every recommendation is based on quality and fit for your palate, not supplier incentives.
We design bespoke wine experiences across California’s premier wine regions: Napa Valley, Sonoma County, Paso Robles, and Monterey. Each region offers distinct terroir, winemaking styles, and experiences — from Napa’s world-class Cabernets to Paso’s bold Rhône varieties to Monterey’s cool-climate Pinot Noir. We’ll match you with the right region (or combination of regions) based on your wine preferences, travel style, and whether you’re seeking an intimate 3-day escape or an in-depth 7-day immersion.
Absolutely. We create tailored corporate wine experiences that combine team building, California wine education, and authentic hospitality. Whether you’re planning an executive offsite, a client appreciation event, or a team celebration, we handle every detail — from private winery access and transportation logistics to curated tastings and culinary pairings. As an LGBTBE®-certified business, we also partner with companies seeking diverse supplier engagement and can integrate giving-back components like vineyard sustainability initiatives or food security programs.
